All residential care homes are licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to provide the minimum of:
Personal care assistants onsite 24 hours per day
Assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, reminders, and cueing
Coordination of medical care
Medication administration by certified staff
Maintenance of medical record
Scheduling of medical appointments and arrangement of transportation
24-hour emergency call system
3 meals daily and snacks, including special diets
Housekeeping and laundry services
Leisure and wellness activities
In addition, some homes can provide more services such as:
Onsite ancillary services including visits by primary care providers, podiatrists, dentists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, mental health clinicians, audiologists, etc.
